During each class, Makala will guide the youth through a
\nlesson that introduces them to a new African-American artist and their creative process. The
\nyouth will have the opportunity to make connections to their own lives as they explore
\nthe weekly art medium. At the end of the course, the artists will have a mini-portfolio of art
\nnarratives using mediums such as clay, paper, paint, and stamps.<\/p>\n
