Our Annual County Wide Senior Citizen Christmas Celebration is held every year annually and we have seniors and youth from all over the county and Sumter County With the holidays, it is important to share moments of solidarity with family, not just exchange gifts or eat a traditional dinner. We associate Christmas with joy, good times with others and good company. Often, however, feelings and memories of people from the past make Christmas more sad than joyful. There is a huge difference in how older people spend their holidays, since the way they are, and unable to get out as much as usual also their financial situation, and any other problems may determine a lot of their mood. Our main Objective is to help the elderly to combat loneliness and feel happier, many elderly people will be helped to recover from the sadness and loneliness they experience by giving them time, attention, and empathy. That is why we started our county wide Senior Citizen Christmas Celebration to eliminate as much stress that comes with the season as possible we plan on buying gift to give away to every senior and child present, those that are homebound will be delivered, this is a time to uplift their spirits and with singing and praise dancing and two inspirational speakers to speak into their life during this season has always been a joy for us and finally we feed them a nutrious meal all free of charge. A day that is focused on them to uplift their spirit and it\u2019s been a joy all these years. <\/p>\n
