As with all past youth projects and programs, YAYA-EP was specifically created and designed to empower participants to develop entrepreneurial mindsets, acquire practical leadership skills, utilize available community resources, and overcome socio-economic barriers, which ultimately fosters their long-term success and contributes to the growth and resilience of their respective communities.<\/p>\n<p>The program term is twelve months, beginning January 6, 2025, and ending December 31, 2025. The twelve-month term includes two months of recruitment and planning, an eight-month training and mentoring component, and two months for program close-out, final evaluations, and reporting.<\/p>\n<p>The program will serve a combination of twelve youth and young adults, ages 11 to 21, who\u2019ve already begun their journey as entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, sole proprietors, independent contractors, or self-employed individuals, or who have an interest in becoming one of these business entities.<\/p>\n<p>(YAYA-EP) will also serve a diverse group of twelve registered small business owners, which include a combination of sole proprietors, self-employed individuals, independent contractors, entrepreneurs, or solopreneurs who reside and\/or conduct business in the disadvantaged and underserved Front Porch and Midtown communities of southern St. Petersburg, Florida.
