Geared towards healing and growth, our Youth PEACE Peer Group project was created for teens who have experienced domestic violence and\/or sexual abuse. Our peer groups are safe spaces that invite teens from all walks of life to connect, share, and heal together. These sessions are not just meetings; they’re a hub where every voice is heard and every story is valued. Through a carefully curated series of evidence-based activities, participants dive into social-emotional well-being and mental health themes, embarking on a collective path to resilience and understanding.<\/p>\n
Guided by the principle that healing is personal and communal, our program has been co-created by teen survivors, ensuring the design fosters an environment of trust and openness. Teens engage in discussions and creative expression, exploring their emotions and experiences in a judgment-free space. The beauty of these groups lies in the shared journey\u2014discovering together that one is not alone in their struggles.<\/p>\n
Beyond dialogue, the Youth Peer Groups aim to equip participants with tangible coping strategies and life skills. From managing stress to building healthy relationships, each session is an opportunity to learn and grow, not just as individuals but as a supportive community.<\/p>\n
At its heart, our project is more than just a program; it’s a movement toward healing, empowerment, and a brighter, more supportive future for all teens affected by CDV and sexual abuse. Together, we’re not just overcoming; we’re thriving!<\/p>\n
