Emergency Housing and Support Services for Children in families Fleeing Domestic Violence :
\nBy creating a secure and nurturing environment for children in crisis while equipping them with the necessary tools to heal from trauma they can achieve their full potential.
\nOur emergency housing facility will serve as a safe space for up to six families, offering security, stability, and access to essential resources.
\nProvide temporary shelter for up to six families, ensuring a safe and secure environment where they can escape from abusive situations.
\nWe will:
\nOffer trauma-informed counseling services to children, providing support to help them process their experiences, heal from trauma, and build resilience.
\nCase Management:
\nAssign a dedicated case manager to each family, who will provide individualized support, assistance with goal setting, and referrals to community resources.
\nMentorship Program:
\nPair each family with a mentor who will serve as a supportive role model, offering guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance as they navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives.
\nAfter-School Work-Study Program:
\nImplement an after-school work-study program for children, providing academic support, life skills training, and opportunities for personal development while their mothers attend counseling sessions or pursue employment.
\nOffer Recreational activities:
\nPartnering with a local recreation center children will be able to participate in various sports and other recreational activities and groups that will allow them to have a time of exercise, competitive play and group participation.
\nOur program not only offers a safe refuge from abuse but also equips families with the tools they need to heal from trauma, rebuild their confidence, and achieve their full potential. By investing in the well-being of these families, we are not only breaking the cycle of violence but also transforming lives and fostering a brighter future for generations to come. <\/p>\n
