Project Title: Project 365 TIPPPS
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The #Project365 #TIPPPs for Health Program (#TIPPPs) is an initiative serving vulnerable teens in Mecklenburg County. Through the #TIPPPs program, we will offer a social media campaign that includes a healthy lifestyle coaching program targeting teens in the Public Health Priority Areas in Mecklenburg County. This project leverages 3 main strategies for implementation to aid in the promotion of violence prevention. 1. Innovative health behavior promotion via the workshop and social media informed by the Integrated Model of Health Literacy framework. 2. In person engagement with Subject Matter Experts to promote the dissemination of accurate information surrounding risk topics most relevant for youth in our area. This strategy also provides youth access to Trauma informed facilitators that help to promote resiliency which aids in the promotion of violence prevention. 3. Workshop participants are provided a toolkit to reinforce knowledge gained to help solidify the prevention practices and promote the overall health of each young person. The workshop will focus on educating teens on all aspects of a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on risky behavior education and reduction and chronic disease prevention.<\/p>\n
