The organizations need funds for capital items which allow the volunteers and staff to be compensated by other funding opportunities. The mission of Benevolent Hearts is to encourage and enable youth to become positive, responsible, and contributing members of the local community by “Touching One Heart at A Time”. Benevolent Hearts, Incorporated is located at 6516 Elmore Road in Little Rock, Arkansas. For all its challenges, southwest Little Rock (SWLR) remains a vibrant community, younger than much of the rest of the city with a large number of young children. According to the Arkansas Economic Development Commission SWLR is home to 37,976 people. Sixty-three percent of the population is black compared with 43% in greater Little Rock. Its Hispanic population makes up 12% of the community compared with 3% in greater Little Rock. The mix gives SWLR a “unique combination of cultures, customs, faith and families.” Many Little Rock residents have the belief that SWLR is a dangerous, dirty and destitute part of the City and has been both economically and emotionally devastated. Benevolent Hearts has identified three risk factors among the youth in SWLR: Alienation and rebelliousness and friends who engage in problem behavior.

Total Project Budget: 10,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): In-kind and grants

Project Duration: 04/24-04/25
Geographical Area Served: We serve
Age Group To Be Served: 4-21

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Ms.
Contact First Name: Myia
Contact Last Name: Woods
Contact Title: Executive Director
Contact Phone: 5012562013
Contact Email: myiawoods@ymail.com

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Benevolent Hearts Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: Mailing Address: 10515 W Markham Street Ste E5 City: Little Rock State: ARKANSAS Postal Code: 72205 Main Phone: 5014363436 Main Fax: Organization Website: info@benevolenthearts.org Employer ID Number: 83-2658259 Organization Tax Status: 501c3 Proposal Information Today’s Date: 02/05/2024 Requested […]

[3

post-4418","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
