In March 2022, the American Nurses Foundation and the American Nurses Association released the results of its COVID-19 Impact Assessment Survey, which found that 52% of nurses are considering leaving their current position due primarily to insufficient staffing, work negatively affecting health and well-being, and inability to deliver quality care. In addition, 60% of acute care nurses report feeling burnt out, and 75% report feeling stressed, frustrated, and exhausted. Nursing represents the nation’s largest health care profession and the largest single component of hospital staff. By the year 2030, South Carolina will be one of four states with a nursing shortage of more than 10,000 according to an analysis by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Additional nurses will be needed to care for the aging population, who typically have more medical problems than younger people. “The need for healthcare services is increasing as the number of aging baby boomers continues to grow," stated Sherrill Nielson, Chief Nursing Officer for McLeod Health Seacoast. "As a result, more nurses professionals and paraprofessional are needed to educate and care for patients.

Total Project Budget: 10,000.00

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential):

Project Duration:
Geographical Area Served:
Age Group To Be Served:

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs
Contact First Name: Nydra
Contact Last Name: Wilson
Contact Title: Owner
Contact Phone: 843-401-4216
Contact Email: lowcountrymedicaltraining@yahoo.com

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: LowCounty Medical Training Center Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: Mailing Address: 128 Hampton Ave City: Kingstree State: South Carolina Postal Code: 29556 Main Phone: 843-401-4216 Main Fax: 843-401-4150 Organization Website: Employer ID Number: Organization Tax Status: 85-0720189 Proposal Information Today’s Date: 01/26/2024 Requested Amount: 10,000.00 […]

[3

post-4182","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
