With its Bluetooth robot controller, which mimics a real industrial robot pendant, the Mirobot offers a user-friendly interface for beginners to grasp control systems effectively. The aim of this project is to introduce students to the world of robotics and automation by providing them with hands-on experience using the Mirobot. By incorporating the Mirobot into our educational programs, we can achieve the following objectives: students’ engagement and understanding of robotics and automation principles will significantly increase. The interactive nature of the Mirobot allows students to experiment, solve problems, and foster critical thinking skills through practical applications. Beyond theoretical knowledge, students will gain valuable skills in control systems, kinematics, and programming by working directly with the Mirobot. This hands-on experience bridges the gap between theory and practice, giving students a meaningful learning experience. The Mirobot kit is multi-disciplinary, making it a versatile tool that can be integrated into different subject areas such as engineering, computer science, and mathematics. By exploring the interdisciplinary nature of robotics, students will develop a holistic understanding of various concepts. This exposure will foster their interest and passion in STEAM, paving the way for future careers in technology-driven industries.

Total Project Budget: $30000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Cobb EMC Foundation- Submitted Grant, Dan Paul Foundation- Submitted Grant

Project Duration: February
Geographical Area Served: Metro Atlanta and surrounding area
Age Group To Be Served: 9 to 17

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs.
Contact First Name: Philana
Contact Last Name: Swann
Contact Title: Executive Director
Contact Phone: 4042855071
Contact Email: pswann@thenewtenthfoundation.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: The New Tenth Foundation Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: Mailing Address: 3060 Peachtree Rd.
