YWCA Youth Leadership Program known as P.E.A.R.L. consists of 30 girls between the ages of 13 -18 years old. This program teaches girls how to become self-sufficient, self-confident, empowered, educated, independent, responsible, socially conscious, and culturally aware. With the main curriculum components being Prevention, Empowerment, Academics, Recreation, and Leadership, the program offers comprehensive training to help girls develop critical skills that will enable them to become powerful leaders and effective advocates for change. In a safe, supportive and culturally diverse environment, girls develop effective problem solving skills, and are introduced to community advocacy, racial justice, and other pertinent issues affecting youth. <\/p>\n
