City Impact is a nonprofit organization that has been vital to the Lincoln community for the past 25 years.City Impact\u2019s mission is to empower and equip kids and families to rise above vulnerable circumstances through a Christ-centered biblical worldview, radically transforming them into who God created them to be. With a biblical worldview, City Impact provides a haven for kids and families by offering various programs and services. <\/p>\n
City Impact is vital to any city impact initiative, specifically emphasizing youth and breaking generational cycles. At the heart of our programs is recognizing that communities thrive when they support their most vulnerable members – kids and families facing challenging circumstances. A dedicated City Impact agency in Lancaster County has worked tirelessly for years to provide educational programs, counseling, and mentoring to those in need. CI Academy is centered on academic excellence and the holistic development of CI students. With high academic standards, the atmosphere fosters an environment conducive to intellectual growth. Parents and guardians entrust their children to CI Academy, knowing that a rigorous curriculum adheres to critical thinking skills and enriching programming. For 2021-2022, Lincoln Public Schools reported a decrease in reading levels of 3% for all students. (LPS.org, 2022). In an effort to combat this reading disparity, City Impact boasts a 35% increase in kids reading fluency from the beginning to the end of the program. Character building is emphasized and rooted in faith, where questions are encouraged, and discussions are held during daily devotionals for kindergarten to eighth-grade students. <\/p>\n
Through our CI academy, caring teachers guide students through the summer reading challenge, where they embark on the thrilling adventure of exploring different books. This partnership with Lincoln Public School provides additional locations for students to complete activities and expand their knowledge.\n<\/p>\n
