With a focus on empowering families, this organization has impacted the lives of over 1,000 children through its STEM curriculum. The Malone Center fosters a sense of freedom by providing students with a supportive environment and encouraging them to explore their potential. Through ten programs, it offers diverse learning experiences that equip youth with confidence and resilience.

As part of Malone’s commitment to equality, we host events and offer various programs and outlets for local youth to get involved in. Our primary program is our Out-Of-School program serving ages 5yrs – 12yrs. This program is a valuable opportunity for children to engage in STEAM learning and benefit from supportive learning spaces. These programs provide a safe and enriching environment for kids after the school day ends. With an average attendance of 65 youth, these programs cater to the needs of up to 120 youth, providing academic and social-emotional support, mentorship, and leadership opportunities. Participating in after-school programs at Malone helps prevent minority children living in poverty from being in the streets and engaging in risky behaviors, as they are exposed to a safe and supportive environment filled with enriching activities and resources.

We use a STEM curriculum along with applied learning experiences. The student learns in a safe, comfortable, supportive environment that allows them the freedom to learn at their pace. This allows youth to build confidence and resilience, enabling them to keep going when it gets rough. We offer STEM-based learning programs within our out-of-school Program and CLC to ensure the educational success of each youth served.

Total Project Budget: 50,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Cooper Foundation

Project Duration: 2 year
Geographical Area Served: Nebraska
Age Group To Be Served: youth

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Ms
Contact First Name: Laura
Contact Last Name: McCulley
Contact Title: Grant Manager
Contact Phone: 402-474-1110
Contact Email: laura.mcculley@malonecenter.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: The Malone Center Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: Clyde Malone Community Center Mailing Address: PO Box 80723, Lincoln NE 68501 City: Lincoln State: Ne Postal Code: 68503 Main Phone: 402-474-1110 Main Fax: Organization Website: www.Malonecenter.org Employer ID Number: 47-0376577 Organization Tax Status: Non profit Proposal […]

[3

post-3492","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
