Project Title: Agriculture Trade School for Juveniles & Foster Youth
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
AA Agriculture Trade School \u2013 has a practical, real-world Agricultural education for aspiring farmers, educations and community leaders.
\nPlan to bus Juveniles & Foster Youth 16 \u2013 25 years old (TAY population) to the Ranch site to provide training for producing and growing California Specialty crop (Date Palm Trees, Prune, Crabapple). To equip them for current and future challenges in Agriculture and Horticulture, and Nursery crops (floriculture).
\nThe (Learn to Farm) program is a full-time, residential immersion in the work and rhythms of sustainable farm life. Each year we accept 10 youths, 16 \u2013 25 years old into the program. The Youths will live together in a farmhouse and help our instructors manage 4-Acres of Date Palm Trees. Also mixed organic vegetables.<\/p>\n
We help our Youth establish conceptual understanding and physical competency in a wide range of skills and areas of farm production: Animal husbandry, Organic Vegetable production, Farm-based education and beyond.<\/p>\n
Everyday our students\/youth farmers learn to farm by farming, supported by formal coursework, in-field mentoring from our staff and instruction by regional experts.
\nWe value field work as our primary mode of instruction. Our small discussion \u2013 based classes are balanced with long hours in the greenhouses, fields, and barns. The training is rounded out with field trips, conferences, reading and assignments, and an independent project.<\/p>\n
Our school’s upcoming programs and activities. Aisha Academy is a non-profit trade school that is focused on training individuals interested in agriculture and trade industry.<\/p>\n
Recently, we have launched a new program that aims to provide hands-on training in agriculture and trade. The program is designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and techniques to succeed in the sector. We believe that this program will significantly benefit our students in terms of their employability, contribution to national development, and societal impact.<\/p>\n
