Incorporated in 2013, Agape House of Prescott (Agape House) exists to provide long-term, transitional housing for families who are without a residence. Beginning in 2015, the organization began housing families, together, while facilitating additional support services to equip families for an independent and self-sustained future. Today, Agape House remains the only family-inclusive transitional housing program in Prescott, providing a safe place for parents and their children to call home and a continuum of services to help families get back on their feet. <\/p>\n
Agape House of Prescott is requesting $10,000 in support from The Hermanowski Foundation to complete the final purchase of "Agapeville," our nine- unit apartment building that houses families seeking long-term transitional housing. Required renovations to the apartment building have already been funded through different income streams. The timely completion of this project, including renovations, will increase the quantity, quality, and sustainability of services provided to homeless families in crisis for many years to come.
\nAHOP is currently in the final phase of the $1,000,000 capital campaign to double its capacity since 2018 to serve homeless families in the Prescott area. With 65 percent of the funds already secured, we are seeking to offset the remaining $350,000 needed to complete the purchase and renovations to the nine-unit apartment complex that will serve as an additional housing and program site for up to 16 families in crisis annually. Anticipated completion date is March 31, 2024. These funds will be used to complete the purchase of the nine-unit complex, which is ideally located just three blocks west of downtown Prescott. The original purchase price was $850,000 with an additional $150,000 worth of estimated renovations required.\n<\/p>\n
