Our 7 South Florida BAY branches include Miami, Boca Raton, Boca Raton East, Aventura, Hollywood, Surfside, and North Miami Beach. The goal of the project is to give elementary and middle school aged girls an opportunity to thrive in a non-academic environment. Additionally, through our program and our mentorship arrangements, girls are given healthy outlets and positive attention, which we have seen is incredibly effective at preventing them from being exposed to and engaging in unhealthy outlets (alcohol/substance abuse, premature sexual activity) that often initially stems from negative peer influence. The volunteer BAY leaders are local high school girls, vetted by BAY advisors to make sure they are suitable role models for participants at their impressionable stage. Each branch maintains robust yearly programming including weekly Saturday afternoon youth groups where girls between the ages of kindergarten through 8th grade participate in recreational and wholesome activities, and 8-10 annual group trips, for activities like swimming or ice skating. Through its wholesome, interactive programming and promotion of healthy relationships (both peer to peer and mentee to mentor), BAY provides young, impressionable girls with positive and productive influences in their lives at this young, impressionable stage, setting them up for success as they continue to age and grow into productive, healthy young adults.

Total Project Budget: $25,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Private donations and door fees

Project Duration: 5 years
Geographical Area Served: South Palm Beach County, Miami Dade, Broward County
Age Group To Be Served: elementary-middle school children

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs.
Contact First Name: Rebecca
Contact Last Name: Rubin
Contact Title: Grants Coordinator
Contact Phone: 212-797-9000 ext. 233
Contact Email: rrubin@agudah.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Agudath Israel of America Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: Mailing Address: 42 Broadway City: New York State: NY Postal Code: 10004 Main Phone: 212-797-9000 Main Fax: 646-254-1600 Organization Website: agudah.org Employer ID Number: 13-5604164 Organization Tax Status: 501(C)(3) Proposal Information Today’s Date: 7/14/2023 Requested Amount: […]

[3

post-3220","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
