Angel Heart serves children who are abandoned, abused, placed in foster care, live in homeless shelters, have special needs, are children of refugee families, and are children of color ranging in ages from infant to 18 who are represented by 86% Hispanic, 5% African American, 7% Native American and 2% other.

Angel Heart, as the premier go-to resource in Southern Arizona for providing needy children with pajamas and books, conducts community pajama drives throughout the year. The pajama drives are sponsored by local businesses, corporations, schools, churches, and non-profit organizations. Over 100 dedicated volunteers collect, sort, assemble, and distribute new pajamas and books to our 80+ nonprofit partner agencies serving children in need and to 20+ emergency closets located throughout Southern Arizona.

The Mission Moments give tiny, powerful examples of how Angel Heart is making an impact through the anecdotal stories and testimonial letters from children, parents, agencies, and volunteers.

"Meet Vanessa, a very beautiful young child who is nonverbal and in foster care. When she received her little book, she hugged the book and signed that IT WAS HERS!"

"Meet one of our agencies who thanks us for always supporting our foster families and kids. What a joy it is to bring new pajamas to foster care children when they first arrive at their first foster care home. They appreciate the pajamas and books so much for the children!"

Angel Heart believes children have a right to wear new pajamas, own a new book, feel valued and loved, and have a goodnight’s sleep. Each pajama donation goes a long way towards positively changing the lives of Southern Arizona children.

Total Project Budget: $136,635

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): Arizona Women’s Partnership, $1,500 Arizona Cardinals Charities, $6,000 pending Arizona Diamondbacks, $5,000 Bess Spiva Timmons, $5,000 pending Community Foundation of Green Valley, $2,000 Community Foundation of Santa Cruz, $2,000 Country Fair White Elephant, $5,000 pending Dr. Scholl Foundation, $10,000 pending Dollar General, $2,000 pending Eddy Foundation, $1,000 pending Eugene C and Willetta Denton Family Foundation, $1,000 Fred & Christine Armstrong Foundation, $2,500 Gila Resorts & Casino, $20,000 H.S.
