Project Title: REGAL Mentoring Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Queen Academy, Inc. partners with alternative schools in Georgia school districts to support female students with significant behavior challenges through the implementation of our REGAL mentoring program for female middle and high school students. We provide direct social emotional and academic support to girls placed in alternative schools who have been expelled from traditional public schools through our mentoring program, which consists of weekly one-hour sessions in either a small-group or one-on-one format with an assigned mentor. We are requesting funding to host monthly educational field trips and social outings as
\na part of our behavior incentive program for participants. Our behavior incentive program encourages participants to demonstrate our core values of respect, excellence, gumption, accountability, and love in school and in the community. We partner with school staff to track these core values through specific classroom and school-wide behaviors, and as participants demonstrate them each month, they are rewarded with an invitation to that month’s field trip. The timeline for this project will be the 2023-2024
\nschool year, with field trips occurring monthly between
\nAugust 2023 and June 2024. We project to serve 20-25 participants across 3 school sites during the 2023-2024
\nschool year. This funding will support us in providing field trips each month at no cost to our participants.<\/p>\n
