Thank you for selecting Hopecam to receive a grant in 2021. We were honored to be selected by your foundation. Hopecam’s mission is to overcome the social isolation of children with cancer using laptops and webcams to connect the child with his or her friends and classmates. Every time a child is diagnosed with cancer and isolated from friends, his or her mental health is at risk. Hopecam can change that trajectory by virtually connecting kids with peers. 71% of our students attend Title 1 schools and over 50% live in homes that cannot afford internet access. Hopecam helps to bridge the digital divide not just the child, but for all family members during this difficult time.<\/p>\n
As we kick off our 20th Anniversary celebration, the 2023 \u201cTwenty Years of Hope\u201d initiative will allow us to expand into new communities and serve more children with cancer at a time when they need connectivity more than ever. The total cost of this project is $58,000, with more than half already funded by committed partners. We invite you to once again join this effort to lift the spirits of children as they undergo treatment for cancer.<\/p>\n
