Project Title: Music Education and Lesson Program – "Learn to Love Music" (LLM)
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The Learn to Love Music Program {LLM} is a Music Education and Lessons program that offers music lessons and instruction as part of our Enrichment Series, offered at our Afterschool and Summer Camp programs, and at large within our Community Center. We work with instructors to teach World Drumming and other Instrument lessons to kids ages 7 through 18, as part of our Enrichment Series of offerings. As a new program, we will import instruments of all types and create a set-aside Music Room for this special opportunity.
\nThe LLM program will be segmented into age appropriate classes and offer beginning to intermediate music lessons with everything from World Drumming to popular music instrumentation, such as Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Drums and Vocals. Our program Chairs are from the Board of Directors and Staff at the Center and include professionally trained musicians we will hire for this one-of-a-kind offering. We have uncovered a lack of enrichment offerings in our catchment area and hope to bridge the gap by bringing in this program to our over 50 program offerings.
\nWith partner organizations such as grantors, schools and music oriented businesses, we hope to bring in an array of instruments to house at our Center for lessons and private practice time slots for kids who might otherwise not have this important opportunity available. We are a very rural area that boasts inspiring mountains, lakes and rivers and hope to import that scenic inspiration into musical creativity through our students work.
