Project Title: Therapeutic Arts Programs for Youth

Art on Wheels therapeutic arts programs- Healing in the Arts, Aging in the Arts, Art and Disability- collaborate with communities and individuals through partner organizations to provide supportive and diverse arts experiences to connect the arts to health and well-being. Our communities are expressing an increasing need for our therapeutic programs geared specifically towards our youth, as well as their families and support networks. Art on Wheels will meet that need by increasing program partnerships in our Healing in the Arts program and Art and Disability program. Through the end of the 2024 calendar year, we seek to develop 5 youth focused, long-term partnerships with non-arts organizations that support youth and families. Long-term partnerships last for at-least 12 months with the intention of the partnership renewing. Additionally, Art on Wheels will work to develop 10 short-term partnerships. Short-term partnerships are defined as a limited run of classes, workshops, or set of programs that occur 6 times in a 12-month period or less. In developing short-term partnerships, Art on Wheels considers the viability of long-term partnerships and works to cultivate community relationships that are beneficial to all parties involved. It is critical that our programs not only provide quality arts experiences, but develop community relationships that prioritize connection, investment, care, and joy. <\/p>\n
