The mission of the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House (IERMH) is to provide comfort, care, and support to children and families. Our objective is to provide temporary housing for up to 54 families nightly 365 days a year; providing a private guest room with shared common spaces; provide every family with the
\nopportunity to meet with our Family Support Services (FSS) team for emotional support; provide families the resources needed to navigate through the challenges they face and assist them with making community
\nsupport connections. One main program goal is to keep families close to their children during medical
\ntreatment.
\nSome families must maintain two households with one parent staying with the child receiving treatment while the other parent remains at home to continue working and caring for other children, often a considerable distance apart. Expenses for medical, transportation, parking and other unknowns are incurred and can be financially devastating for a family causing a tremendous strain. The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House \u201cMeals of Love\u201d program has been very successful, and we plan to keep providing meals for families when there is not a meal planned by a restaurant or a volunteer group during the week.<\/p>\n
