Project Title: GIRLS LOVE TO CODE
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
We work with underserved children ages 4-9, all minority or immigrant children from families on government assistance. We teach these young girls to block code and program Vex robotics kits. This increases the math and reading skills tremendously and we are looking to get these young girls to love the sciences and see this area as a career path. It also increases self esteem significantly. these children do not have the access to the same resources as other students. We lend them laptops to take home and mobile hotspots for internet access allowing them to continue the learning process at home. This is especially important during the summer when they are not in school and have no access to intenet or computers.<\/p>\n
