Project Title: matMatching Grants for our Displaced Disabled scholarship program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
ASK has a goal is to raise at least $150,000 in matching Grants for our Displaced Disabled scholarship program from local corporate partners.
\nDonations received to date total $25,000 to be used to fund Scholarships for this upcoming 21-22 school year.
\nStudents must have spent time in foster care or have a disability identified by an IEP or MET.
\nFamilies that choose to place their child in a private school but do not have the economic means to do so, will benefit from this program. <\/p>\n
Publicity
\nAsk conducts community events and sponsors\/hosts sporting competitions to raise awareness and funding for our program, which benefits students with disabilities and students that have been displaced to foster care. Our plan includes social media outreach as well as community events to inform the community of our mission and goals. Ask is also reaching out to the schools and families themselves to let them know of the program by attending K-12 schools\u2019 open houses and fundraising events.<\/p>\n
Sustainability
\nUtilizing corporate tax credits, ASK can supplement this side of our program if necessary. Our fundraising team is dedicated to applying for grants and reaching out to donors in the local communities to continue raising money for the program year over year as we anticipate a continual growth of a much-needed program. We are continually contacted by families with disabled children in different states in need of assistance. <\/p>\n
Evaluation measurements
\nAs the Displaced and Disabled K-12 School Choice Scholarship Fund grows, and there is an increase of funding from donors to contribute to the program, we will measure the success of this program organically. There is an application specific to this fund so we can track the number of merit applications, awards, and re-awards. In this way, we can continue to track the need and measure the achievement of the ASK mission.\n<\/p>\n
