Project Title: Lena\u2019s Adventures: Foster Youth Enrichment & Literacy Support Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Lena\u2019s Adventures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking funding to support children in foster care by providing books by is written by me, the Founder of Lena’s Adventures, clothing, and essential supplies that promote stability, literacy, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n
The primary objective of this project is to deliver my age-appropriate books to children involved in the foster care system. Many of these children experience disruptions in their education and lack consistent access to reading materials. This initiative will provide my books that children can begin and continue over time, helping them build literacy skills, confidence, and a sense of ownership in their learning.<\/p>\n
In addition to books, Lena\u2019s Adventures will provide clothing and basic supplies to children in need. Access to appropriate clothing supports self-esteem, comfort, and a sense of normalcy, which is especially important for children navigating difficult transitions.<\/p>\n
These resources will be distributed during supervised visitation services and community-based outreach efforts. The program will also encourage reading and positive engagement during visits, allowing children and their families to share meaningful experiences through my books and structured activities.<\/p>\n
Through this project, Lena\u2019s Adventures aims to support both the educational and emotional needs of foster youth by providing consistent access to my books, clothing, and essential items. This effort will help create a more supportive and nurturing environment for children while reinforcing the importance of literacy, stability, and personal growth.<\/p>\n

At this time, no confirmed funding has been secured; however, outreach efforts are ongoing to supplement grant funding.<\/p>\n
