Our program brings young people out of the city and into a peaceful, nature-based environment where they can build relationships, experience joy, and develop leadership skills that stay with them long after the summer ends.

During our 2026 summer program, campers will spend one to two weeks participating in activities such as swimming, boating, arts, group challenges, and daily community circles grounded in restorative practices. These circles are a core part of our model, giving campers a structured space to process emotions, build trust, and practice nonviolent communication.

What makes Camp Jamison unique is our leadership pipeline. Many of our staff are former campers who return to mentor the next generation, creating a consistent and trusted community for youth who often lack stable support systems.

Funding from the Hermanowski Family Foundation will directly support camper access and program costs, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for families. Our goal is to serve approximately 150 campers in 2026, with a focus on youth from Philadelphia neighborhoods most impacted by violence.

This is not just a week at camp. For many of our campers, it is a rare opportunity to feel safe, seen, and hopeful about their future.

Total Project Budget: $245,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): 114,000

Project Duration: January 2026 – December 2026
Geographical Area Served: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (program hosted in New York State)
Age Group To Be Served: 8-15

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs.
Contact First Name: Jacqueline
Contact Last Name: McDonough
Contact Title: Executive Director
Contact Phone: 2157038002
Contact Email: jacqueline@campjamison.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Camp Jamison Legal Name (if Different): Camp Jamison Corporation Also Known As: Camp Jamison Mailing Address: 9251 Wooden Bridge Road City: Philadelphia State: PA Postal Code: 19114 Main Phone: 2157038002 Main Fax: Organization Website: www.campjamison.org Employer ID Number: 27-1204443 Organization Tax Status: 501c3 Proposal Information Today’s Date: […]

[3

post-10331","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
