Project Title: LGMC Youth Community Leadership Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The LGMC Youth Community Leadership Program offers area high school students an opportunity to enhance community awareness and knowledge while developing leadership skills. It seeks to empower and motivate students to become involved and committed to their community. Alumni from the LGMC Core Adult Program serve on a coordinating committee with responsibility for guiding the development and delivery of the program. The Leadership Challenge text by Kouzes and Pozner provides the foundational leadership model for the program. Program topics include Law and Government, Healthcare and Wellness, People in Need Forum (nonprofit awareness), and dedicated leadership skills activities. Students are formed into teams that are guided by adult advisors who are LGMC alumni. The 2026-2027 class will represent the 10th year of the program.<\/p>\n
