We intend to bring our bike fleet and coaches directly to schools to provide in school and afterschool programming to youth ages 5-18. We see the importance of learning these skills early in order to increase confidence on and off the bike, to open the door to exploring outdoors, and to increase safe transportation options for youth and families.
Ride Krew creates inclusive environments where every child—regardless of experience level, background, or financial circumstance—can participate and succeed. Through structured instruction, mentorship from trained coaches, and progressive skill development, participants learn not only how to ride safely and confidently but also how to overcome challenges, support their peers, and take ownership of their growth. These experiences translate beyond the bike, helping youth develop discipline, perseverance, and self-belief that benefit them in school and everyday life.
Equally important is our commitment to expanding access to outdoor recreation and healthy activity. Many young people today face barriers to participating in sports or spending time outdoors due to cost, limited resources, or increasing screen time. Ride Krew would continue to support this with our offering of scholarships and bike loan programs, and intentionally bringing free programming to communities that may otherwise lack access to these opportunities.
We aim to work with 10+ unique schools in the coming year to bring unique programming and coaching to them dependent upon their communities needs.

Total Project Budget: 50000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): No committed funding but applying for a myriad of grant and foundation funding

Project Duration: Jan 2026-Dec 2027
Geographical Area Served: Southern California
Age Group To Be Served: 5-18 years

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs
Contact First Name: Jessica
Contact Last Name: Wall
Contact Title: Development Manager
Contact Phone: 805-341-1944
Contact Email: fundraising@theridekrew.com

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Ride Krew Legal Name (if Different): Sprockids San Diego Also Known As: DBA Ride Krew Mailing Address: 12527 Cabezon Place City: San Diego State: CA Postal Code: 92129 Main Phone: 8053411944 Main Fax: Organization Website: theridekrew.com Employer ID Number: 47-1425941 Organization Tax Status: 501(c)(3) Proposal Information Today’s […]

[3

post-10163","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
