Project Title: Expanded access to bike safety and skills
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
Ride Krew aims to increase overall access to bike safety education and basic bike skills by partnering with schools across Southern California. We intend to bring our bike fleet and coaches directly to schools to provide in school and afterschool programming to youth ages 5-18. We see the importance of learning these skills early in order to increase confidence on and off the bike, to open the door to exploring outdoors, and to increase safe transportation options for youth and families.
\nRide Krew creates inclusive environments where every child\u2014regardless of experience level, background, or financial circumstance\u2014can participate and succeed. Through structured instruction, mentorship from trained coaches, and progressive skill development, participants learn not only how to ride safely and confidently but also how to overcome challenges, support their peers, and take ownership of their growth. These experiences translate beyond the bike, helping youth develop discipline, perseverance, and self-belief that benefit them in school and everyday life.
\nEqually important is our commitment to expanding access to outdoor recreation and healthy activity. Many young people today face barriers to participating in sports or spending time outdoors due to cost, limited resources, or increasing screen time. Ride Krew would continue to support this with our offering of scholarships and bike loan programs, and intentionally bringing free programming to communities that may otherwise lack access to these opportunities.
\nWe aim to work with 10+ unique schools in the coming year to bring unique programming and coaching to them dependent upon their communities needs.<\/p>\n
