Project Title: Children and Youth Mental Wellness Program
\nProject Description:<\/p>\n
The Children and Youth Mental Wellness Program serves Palm Beach County (PBC) children\/youth 3-21 who cannot obtain care otherwise due to inability to afford. The need for affordable, easily accessible mental healthcare services remains high. In 2025, 248 children\/youth 3-18 and their families\/caregivers received services; 125 aboard the MHC and 123 in office and\/or telehealth.<\/p>\n
Quality mental wellness services help children\/youth suffering from trauma regulate their emotions, stop self-harming behaviors, suicidal ideation\/attempts, and prevents costly, additionally traumatic inpatient placement. <\/p>\n
For PBC\u2019s most in-need children\/youth, services are: <\/p>\n

\n\u2022\tprovided by qualified therapists experienced in child\/youth trauma
\n\u2022\toffered in English\/Spanish\/Creole
\n\u2022\tavailable without a waitlist
\n\u2022\teasily accessible through our \u2018avenues to care\u2019; in-office\/telehealth\/MHC<\/p>\n
Funding supports direct mental healthcare services to children\/youth (3-21) where services are easiest to access for the client (in-office\/telehealth\/MHC). The MHC has demonstrated great success in expanding services to PBC\u2019s most in-need children\/youth. Operating on the agency\u2019s highly successful \u2018community-partner model\u2019, the MHC serves children\/youth on-site at partner agencies where they already visit for other needs, thereby eliminating transportation barriers to come to us. The MHC continues providing services each week at 4 PBC Boys & Girls Clubs (Boca\/Delray\/West Palm\/Riviera Beach) to children\/youth in their after-school programs. The agency continually seeks new MHC partners where more in-need children\/youth can be served. <\/p>\n
Clients without insurance\/living below poverty level are offered 8-10 FREE sessions. Those that do not qualify for free sessions are offered extremely reduced rates based on a sliding scale starting at $45 per session. <\/p>\n
The agency is very grateful for the generous $8,000 award from the Hermanowski Family Foundation for services in 2026 and deeply appreciates being considered for continuing support in 2027. An award of $10,000 will support 57 hours of free\/low-cost mental healthcare services to in need PBC children\/youth (3-21).\n<\/p>\n
