To meet licensing expectations for PreK and provide a safe, developmentally appropriate environment, our early childhood classroom would need child-accessible handwashing sinks and a bathroom within the classroom.

We are requesting $10,000 to support renovation and plumbing work to add handwashing sinks and a child-accessible bathroom in our primary classroom. Funds will be used for plumbing installation, fixtures (toilet, sinks, faucets), flooring and wall finishes appropriate for wet areas, and any required accessibility and code-compliance upgrades. These improvements will ensure children can wash hands frequently, use the restroom with dignity and privacy, and remain in close proximity to their learning environment, which is especially important for young children and those with sensory or developmental differences.

During the grant year, we will complete design, permits, and construction, and open the renovated classroom to a founding cohort of children from Linden and surrounding neighborhoods. Short-term outcomes include increased hygiene and independence for students, smoother classroom routines, and compliance with health and safety standards; longer-term, these upgrades will allow us to save money spent on a floater to help take children to restrooms outside of classroom, support stable operation of our early childhood program and contribute to improved toilet readiness, and family trust in the school environment.

Total Project Budget: 12,000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): CSP Grant

Project Duration: ongoing (bathroom will be used indefinitely throughout school year)
Geographical Area Served: Linden
Age Group To Be Served: 3-15 (starting with 3-9 and adding a grade every year as we grow)

Contact Information

Contact Prefix (Mr,Mrs etc.): Mrs.
Contact First Name: Breana
Contact Last Name: Smith
Contact Title: Founder/Teacher
Contact Phone: 740-605-9739
Contact Email: breana@lindentreeschool.org

Hermanowski Family Foundation Initial Request Form Organization Name: Linden Tree Montessori School Legal Name (if Different): Also Known As: LTMS Mailing Address: TBD City: Columbus State: Ohio Postal Code: 43211 Main Phone: 740-605-9739 Main Fax: Organization Website: lindentreeschool.org Employer ID Number: 821025798 Organization Tax Status: 501(c)(3) public charity Proposal Information Today’s Date: 3/16/2026 Requested Amount: […]

[3

post-10076","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-grants
["GET
